with Janet Szabo

Choosing the right thread for a project can be daunting. This class will cover the basics of fiber content, weight, and other considerations. Get hands-on experience sewing or serging with different kinds of threads. This class is for you whether you quilt, serge, or sew.

Sewing machine or serger in good working order
Appropriate needles (universal needles in size 80/12 or 90/14 are a good choice)
At least one empty bobbin if using a machine
A dozen 5” x 5” squares of white or light-colored fabric (you may choose to interface the fabric with something like Pellon SF101 to make it a bit sturdier)
Misc sewing supplies
Pen and paper for taking notes

Instructor will supply thread kits (There may be an additional charge for these)
